Bloom, Dublin, Ireland

Bloom in the Park is a five-day annual festival held at Phoenix Park in Dublin, Ireland. Since 2007, Bloom has been showcasing Ireland's best culinary and horticultural offerings. Over 200 retailers, 100 food purveyors and 50 nurseries are set up within Bloom's 70-acre grounds, making this the largest garden festival in Ireland.

Almost 100,000 people visit Bloom each year to see the gardening exhibitions, food markets and live entertainment. Festival-goers can walk through a variety of impressive show gardens, compact postcard gardens and whimsical sculpture gardens. The Victorian Walled Kitchen Garden is especially worth visiting, as this traditional garden once supplied produce to the Under Secretary's Demesne. Attendees can also stop by the Food Village to purchase organic and artisanal meat and produce, and check out the Love Irish Food pavilion to learn about the latest developments within the Irish food and drink industry. Visitors can even learn from Ireland's most renowned horticulturalists at the Garden Expert Stage and see the latest floral-based trends at the Fashion Stage.

This year's Bloom Festival is scheduled for May 31 - June 4. Tickets for Bloom cost €20 for daily admission and €35 for two-day admission. Children under 16 can enter the festival for free with an adult holding a two-day ticket. Discounted two-day tickets are also available to students and seniors for €29.

The best way to get to Bloom is by booking a flight to Dublin Airport (DUB), as it's located less than 10 miles north of Phoenix Park.
