Dubai Miracle Garden, Dubai
The Dubai Miracle Garden is a one-of-kind oasis in Dubai, a city and emirate in the United Arab Emirates. The garden is located in the Dubailand District, not far from the famous Dubai Marina, an artificial canal city, and Palm Jumeirah, the palm-shaped man-made islands. Since opening in 2013, this 72,000 square meter park has won the Guinness World Record for housing the world's largest vertical garden (exactly what it sounds like: a garden that grows vertically on walls) and the Moselle Award for New Garden Experience of the Year in 2015.
That's not surprising: boasting more than 45 million flowers, this park has roses, petunias, tulips, orchids and more on display. Visitors are also allowed to make salads and teas from the fruit-and-vegetable-garden and medicinal gardens. It is known for extravagant floral displays including flower peacocks, a giant functional floral clock, and even an indoor butterfly garden with 15,000 butterflies across 26 species.
Due to extreme summer heat in the UAE, the park is only open from October to April. Adult tickets cost 45 AED and children pay 35 AED. This is definitely a Dubai must.
